I have mixed feelings about today. For instance, these things are good:

• Successfully interpreted some difficult Latin abbreviations in this morning's transcription.


• Turned in about 2500 words' worth of Chapter 1 draft to supervisors.


• Found a pair of Dolce & Gabbana jeans for 70% off.

However, several things about today completely suck, such as:

Just keep plugging away with the submissions. There are other markets sort of like SH, to my understanding -- um, ideomancer? lady churchill's rosebud wristlet? I'm sure others would know better.

And be comforted that academic publishing is 100% easier than publishing fiction or poetry...

LCRW is on my list of to-hits, seeing as I read it for a good long time. I haven't seen a copy since before moving to the UK, though, so I'd better do some catching up.

(I've kind of got that impression, yes. My K'zoo paper for this year is going to have an article version, too, that I hope to be sending out sooner than later.)

argh! i have a headache too! though not for the same reason, but GOD, long-term headaches suck.
