My company folded on Monday; I'm out of a job again. I'm not too surprised at this - the signs were there, however much I liked to ignore them - but I was surprised by the timing. So if anyone knows of an opening for a damned fine Software Quality Assurance Engineer, could you please let me know ( Read more... )

Condolences. It's a lousy time of year to be laid off.

And yes, finish the Ph.D. first. ;-)

yeah, the timing could have been better. but really, when is a GOOD time for one's company to tank? :) thanks for the cheer; i appreciate it.

So sorry to hear about the job loss, Miss. Mandy. I know how frustrating that can be. Gerrit will be laid off effective Feburary 14, 2007. So at least if you get too frustrated searching you'll have a fellow "laid off buddy" to call and comiserate with!

Well, I've started the search for another job, but it's tricky when you can only work part-time. The tech industry does not like part-timers... Sorry about Gerrit - what happened with his company?
