When idiot criminals run administrations/politics/governments ...

...

There's this pilot who has written about the 'tsa pat downs' he had to endure.

So what do we have now ? A choice of 'Cancer-or-Trauma' while checking in for travelling, followed by a choice of 'Aircraft-highly-probably-in-a-definite-crash-situation-because-of-pilot-having-been-traumatized-just-before-take-off' ?

Nice.

Oh dear :D I do love J. Goldberg ! :D Adorable man !

But then, this is making me giggle. I can't remain angry if I giggle *Still giggling*

I can't imagine how this can happen - allowing this sort of thing. It doesn't happen in my country, and no one can say we aren't under constant terrorist threats. The horror stories that are coming up - children, assault survivors, sick people, ppl recovered from cancer, all ppl - all groped and traumatised ... Sickening ! I wonder how nuns would be patted down.

I agree - it would certainly put me off visiting the states at the moment, but there are protests - there's a site called 'we won't fly' - check it out and Ron Paul is introducing legislation in their pariliament

There must be protests ! If I had a child, and if it was groped by some stranger, I would definitely kick said stranger. Hard. I don't care about the designation of said stranger. This process must stop. It's humiliating !

Well, if this doesn't get the American sheeple to wake up and act against the outrageous behavior of the guvmint, I don't know what will.

The TSA trash are either people who are doing a thankless job for starvation wages, or perverts who abuse their tiny little "authority" because they are petty, hateful and despicable power-lovers.

Either way, Janet Napolitano needs to be taught a lesson, and so does the horse she rode in on. (It's named Gee-Dubya-Dickhead-Rove-Turdblossom-Rummy-Fascist-Condomsleaza... Giddy-up, horsey; to the abattoir with you.)

Many people in USA are badly informed, badly treated and kept constantly under stress by so-called-policies. This is because its so, so easy to handle ppl who are under constant stress and who are also under-informed. If it wasn't for the internet, everything would be worse - as bad as in some other parts of the world.

TSA ppl shd themselves protest against such things. Surely they have family and friends who take flights, too ?

OMG what a horse :D :D Now 'm giggling again. I don't want to giggle. I want to stay angry ! Grrrr.

Well, Dubya is gone now, innit ? Its the current administration that's got this in place. The article melusin linked - has this :-
Techniques being employed against American travelers are actually more invasive than methods used by the US military to screen Afghan civilians. Military policy holds that overly invasive searches of Afghans might inflame anti-American sentiment and violence in the region. That's apparently not a concern with Americans. So where do we stand now ? Btw, I kind of vaguely remember ( ... )

Sometimes I think it's part of a plot cooked up by the government and the oil industry, to discourage people from traveling by any means that won't maximize petro-profits, i.e.: harass people and humiliate them when they try to travel by air (and soon, no doubt, by rail), then charge them extortionately when they buy gasoline to travel by car.

This kind of chicanery has been a feature of American government from the beginning, but lately has gotten more and more blatant.

viz.: Chrysler Corp. went bankrupt, and as part of their "re-structuring" they informed several privately owned dealerships that Chrysler no longer intends to allow them to sell their cars! So those dealerships were forced to go out of business from lack of product ( ... )

This !

I have nothing to add, because that's exactly the way it goes. And most of the general people don't realise it.
