According to a random interweb site, Aila is Marathi for 'fire'...
(...I found it on the 'net' - so it MUST be true ;D)

I only know Ayla, which is of Turkish origin, I think.
Interesting about the naming of storms. They used to give them female names here, in the remote past, but have long since changed that to one each. So if today's storm front has a male name, tomorrow's will be female.
