But I *want* to tell superhero stories.

If I want to write horror or mystery or fantasy or whatever, I do that in prose.

But you could write superheroes in prose, too. Yes, you lose some of the color aspect, some of the SCALE, when you use Wonder Woman or Superman maybe, even Spider-Man, but don't you think Batman works, I mean really WORKS, in prose? He's a detective after all. Both Poe and Doyle wrote lasting (Doyle moreso, I suppose, but DuPin is original to the species) detective fiction.

I'm just saying...

You've clearly not read my Midnight Sentinel stories.

And yes, some kind of superheroes work in prose. Doc Savage, The Shadow, to name just two. Batman would. I think the Punisher would work very well.

But for some characters (you mentioned some), you need the four-color scale of visual storytelling.
