Quarterly review (late!)

Apr 22, 2006 11:50

So, the first three months of the 2006 were weird, exciting and decidedly productive. Or non-productive. Here's some highlights in case you missed 'em:

Samuel R. Delaney on Style vs. Content

What I Believe but Cannot Prove

Alan Lightman, genius writer.

Dangerous Ideas.

It walks among us. Really.

Copper rules.

Coming up on it.

Free Range Kitties.

Microburst?

Crazed Thoughts.

The Line.

All right, that's what's already been posted so far this year that I think deserves to been seen or read again. I'm working on some creative things that might see the light of day soon (I remember I promised you Risers mini comix, maybe soon, but maybe not) and work is getting better, but more stressful at the same time. I've been walking two miles every day (yes, EVERY DAY) and I'm seeing the benefits of that, and not just physical, but mental, too. Very meditative and calming. Very, very helpful. Plus losing some weight will ensure that I'll live long enough to complete at least a FEW of the things I've planned.

I haven't read as much as I wanted to, and the thoughts about returning to college are scary. We'll see what happens with that. I'll be updating a couple of the links over there on the right, but if you're nto checking them out, definitely read Rob, Parrish and Travis' sites. These guys are doing things I wish I had the time for.

My Blackberry has died and now this second quarter of the year is looking up, really. It's going to be interesting. If you're in for the long haul, it'll be rewarded. Now, I'm taking a nap.
