I have like zero experience and I've still always wondered about the not breathing while kissing this. I think it stems from cheap romance books and the "he takes my breath away thing," which is, of course kind of unrealistic. And is part of why I read romance books for amusement, if I can get part the ridiculousness of romance books.
It should be noted that typing on a phone while a puppy freaks out on your chest and arm is challenging. Still, go smart phones and free internet on phones .
Aw yes, Romance books ^_^;; OI, I remember my romance novel phase (*looks back on it and SHUDDERS*) now mind you some of them ARE good, but like with fan fic, you must wade through a lot of crap to find the gems.
One thing about Fanfics is they seem to perpetuate the same stereotypical ideas and phrases. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the almost exact same ideas/explanation/events in various fics by different authors.
I'm left sitting here, shaking me head, then back spacing to look for something better.
Gods, 800 mile days are killer, even spread between two people, plus one happy puppyand or unhappy dog. *sighs*
I totally agree with you about recycled ideas in romance. I run into the same problem in trying to find interesting romance fics to read. It's frustrating. I'm currently rereading a book series by Nalini Singh. Her psy/changling series. The world and races are interesting, even if the romance is all soul-mates kind of stuff. Which I can stand from time to time. *laughs*
