The interwebs is full of Teh Stupids. And some times it's amusing. I'm on a comm called
fanficrants and it's often full of people pointing out various fails.
Well this time I couldn't figure out what the OP was meaning, so I asked for clarification.
Apparently, asking for clarification is a
BAD thing.

I was just very.....surprised. I mean of all the things to get pissy about.

I work in the educational field, and I've never heard of that slang term being used...ever. It's always called by its full medical term, never just with the ending chopping off. My initial reaction is actually to be kind of offended or at least slightly annoyed by someone calling it "Downs".

I have heard it used, but it wasn't flattering. And I really didn't want to assume that's how the OP was using it.
I was amused the one poster accused me of living in a bubble. I mean, really.
Oh! and new Jay drabble up :)

... Except it's real and, honestly, I didn't know there were people that unreasonable. Seriously, I don't call it Down's. It's always been Down Syndrome.
'Willfully ignorant' was my favorite part. Really. I about died from the absolute irrationality. FROM NOW ON, LET IT BE KNOWN THAT POINTS OF CLARIFICATION ARE FOR THE WILLFULLY IGNORANT. Cause, it's not like the entire point of the question was to educate yourself. *whistles*
Ahh, yes. I'm still giggling. Allow me to give you a hug of giggles.
