My beef is more like, does Morrison not think Tim Drake exists in real Bat-verse? There was a severe lack of Tim in that issue. :(

I've always sort of hated the concept of Terry, if only because his existence necessitates the callous dismissal of Dick and Tim from Bruce's life, and pretty much from canon on a whole. More than anything I wanted him confined to the inconsequential Beyond!verse, and far, far away from my canon!Bruce. So actually, Damian ending up his mentor instead sort of... improved the idea for me, a bit?

But I can understand why that would that would be upsetting if you didn't happen to have the same prejudices that I do. :P The story was weird as fuck, I'll give you that.

Well, seeing as Bruce is 80 during Batman Beyond, that means Dick is 68 and Tim is....? I suspect both of them would have been more agreeable to retirement then Bruce :P

But I would like to have seen more mention of them too.

But see, in order for the Beyond verse to exist, Bruce has to end up sad and all alone! And that will never happen. Because when Bruce is old and Alfred is gone, Dick is going to move back into the Manor to help take care of him, and Tim and Babs and whatever other Batkids are still floating around will be nearby, and they'll all have dinner together every Sunday! And watch bad movies! THAT IS THE FUTURE I SHALL NEVER UNSEE IT.
