It's Cold Outside

Dec 23, 2010 22:47

Author's Warnings/Notes: This was originally going to be based off of the song "Baby It's Cold Outside" and I suppose in a way it could still be considered as such, but somehow other elements invited themselves in and what should have been a simple two page story warped into this possibly (probably) confusing five page ordeal. I'm not going to say ( Read more... )

Your review made me grin like a Cheshire cat. I'm very happy that you liked it. Must mean that it's somewhat coherent. \o/

I was a bit worried about that. Sometimes things make sense in my head, and then as they get typed out...*ahem*...not so much, eh?

Of course it's coherent! *thwaps with Nerf foam bat* Although I can imagine that all that commercialism Christmas music at work makes it tough to keep a firm grip on your sanity sense of perspective.

I do love me some kinda-sorta-selfish and maybe-a-little-self-deceiving Tarrant!

Nummy...! (^__~)

Oh, how I ♥ this!

Love the Carroll reference thrown in...You used his clever idea very cleverly. I love sneaky!Tarrant here. I'm sure Thackery gave him a knowing wink when he found out he was inviting Alice over for dinner...nothing gets by that rabbit, LOL And Alice obviously has learned the art of negotiation...I think her agreement satisfies both parties equally. ;)

Thank you so much for spreading a little Alice/Tarrant Christmas cheer! You rock! :D :D :D

Woman, you're GOOD! I LOVED this. Every line, every () and every fussy little Hatter detail! This was so absolutely sweet and every woman's (well, mine) fantasy! To spend a week snowed in with Tarrant. *my turn to fan self!*

Anyway, this is such a wonderful way to also describe the "three times as cold" concept I've only vaguely seen reference to before. I'm glad she opened the door and found out for herself that there is "cold" and then there is "COLD."

Wonderful!

"a slow, soft, suddenly and warningly assured one of his own": what an excellent way to describe his smile. It really said it all.

This is very engaging. I'm glad I finally had a chance to read through it! All the little details that you do so well and the charming way you characterize Alice and Tarrant. Thank you for sharing this amidst all the craziness of this time of year!
