Okay, I was already not a fan of Walmart, but WTF is wrong with people?  I'm not sure which bothers me more, the fact that it happened at all, or the fact that (from what I heard on CNN) Walmart has a trampling event nearly every year!  They aren't usually fatal, but still.  How horrible!  And for

"Black Friday" is also "Buy Nothing Day" in the USA.

I think next year, I'm going to participate in both BND and Cyber Monday... and announce something like "Special Sale: You have to be there to find outr how sweet it is, but not on Black Friday. Come to Just Works on Monday -- Cyber Monday."

It's kind of late to do that this year I guess... since TODAY is Cyber Monday and we're only open another 25 minutes or so...

Did you see the part where the crowd was jostling the EMTs as they tried to revive the guy? I thought you of all people would understand how crazy that is. Come on people, even if the ambulance with sirens and flashing lights wasn't a tip off wouldn't you think the uniforms with RESCUE in reflective neon and all the medical equipment just might mean something?? I avoid the big shopping days like the plague, this country seriously needs to re-think the whole "consumerist" religion.
