Packing woes

It's hard to know what to pack and what not to when you're going somewhere you've never been for an entire year. I'm having a hard time limiting myself to a small number of books and shoes

Take as few shoes as possible. Trust me on this. It's going to be aces effing cold, and you walk everywhere. Besides, you'll probably find about ten pair you can't LIVE WITHOUT while you're over there and will wind up having to ship them all back.

As for books, just remember that they're damn heavy when you're jet lagged and trying to drag suitcases around.

Ah, I know. I keep thinking that if I bring cute clothes I'll be less tempted to buy more, but I should know by now that that won't really work.
