You really know how to write an insecure Mycroft, hopefully he'll admit his self loathing to Greg so that he can convince My that he is loved!

This is everything I have been hoping for since watching the episode, thank you!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! [It means a lot you think I can write a good Mycroft. He's my favourite character!

You are most welcome!

I really, really like you Mycroft, I can't help but think that he is a much more complicated character than he is given credit for, after all, one of the creators of the show chose to play the part himself, if that isn't a clue then...

I think that he hides behind a facade most of the time, and (especially in Belgrave) he just looked so tired, like he had the world on his shoulders and just wanted it all to go away, just for a moment or two. I can't help but think that Lestrade would be an excellent choice for a romantic interest, he is after all very good at 'reading' Sherlock, so the older brother shouldn't be a problem. And Mycroft needs someone who can hold him and take care of him, everyone does at some point.

I'm sorry I'm only just reading and commenting on this story now. I'm not sure how I missed it when you originally posted it. Anywaaaaaay, it's really interesting to see the events of that fateful day from Mycroft's perspective. I think you do such a great job of conveying Mycroft's shock, guilt and grief in this fic. I think it really says something about Mycroft's state of mind that he doesn't even notice when Lestrade comes home and is startled when Lestrade first puts a hand on his shoulder and then begins to remove his shoes. And for someone of Mycroft's strength and independence to cling so tightly to his lover, you know he has to be feeling very helpless and lost.

No worries for missing it! :) Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! You are very lovely!

I'm glad you can see how I'm trying to portray Mycroft. I just cannot see him falling apart completely, but it's little things that for most people may be normal. When I watch that scene of Mycroft and John, I cannot get over how Mycroft stumbles over his words because that is so out of character for him.

Anyway, thank you for reading! <3
