Tour de Tucson 2008

I've just finished the Tour de Tucson, which ends my racing season this year. I placed 599th place (912th last year), with a time of 5 hours, 16 minutes, 6 seconds. (search that page for "ALAN POST") This is a personal best, as my time last year was 5 hours, 30 minutes, 36 secondsAlas, this wasn't good enough for a platinum. I placed platinum ( Read more... )

That is Great.. How much quicker would have have needed to finish to get a Platinum, or rather, what is the criteria for that status?

Platinum in the Tour de Tucson is anything less than 5 hours. I missed platinum by 16 minutes, 7 seconds, or roughly 1mph over the whole race.

Ah, I was planning, originally, to hang on to the platinum riders and have a faster pace in the beginning of the race than at the end.

So I expected less of myself for the last half and got it. :-p
