Earlier in the week (or maybe last week?), I watched The Bourne Identity. Jim and I really really liked it, so we Netflixed the second one

I had a big issue with Supremacy's shooting style as well (it's kinda his trademark), but don't let that turn you off from watching Ultimatum. He tones it down quite a bit and it's such an amazing end to a great series.
I'll agree with that. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Supremacy recently enough to tell you one way or the other. Ultimatum still uses interesting camera angles, but I didn't really have much of a problem telling what was going on, and those times that I did, I paid better attention the second time through and it made great sense.
If you can contrive to watch it in HD, it's beautiful.
Well, part of my problem with some of the scenes may have been the lighting. I have an astigmatism, which means that everything gets sort of...pulled, usually from slightly above and to the left to down and to the right. It's not blurriness exactly, I'm not near- or far-sighted, but it's almost a distorted halo effect. And it happens worst on things that are brightly lit on a dark background. So when you have bits and pieces brightly lit on an otherwise dark screen, I already have problems. When the camera's shaky (as it intentionally is in Greengrass' films) I'm pretty much fucked.
I keep meaning to get glasses to solve this problem, but since it's mostly an issue with night driving (it makes signs incredibly hard to read at night), and I don't own a car, I keep putting it off.
