I try so hard not to judge (at least so publicly) these days.

But really.

I was playing Cards Against Humanity with some 30 year old-ish friends of mine (and they are friends, I do still like them a lot).

And guys.

They BOTH didn't know what "Auschwitz" was. AUSCHWITZ.

Really? How does that even happen unless you're in a country that denies the Holocaust happened, but even then you know of the Holocaust because you're adamantly denying it exists.

It really shames me, for we will be the last generation to actually talk to the survivors and perpetrators of this attempted genocide, and I am already displeased at the current level of dehumanisation of the "lesser people" by classist standards.

just.. dude. i want to say "prolly went to a shit school" but by 'shit' I mean, "they probably went to any school in the US." We spoke with a holocaust survivor at my school, hell. I bet they can name the latest McD's menu item, but not know the holocaust wasn't a hoax.
