I was thinking earlier - it surprises me how many fangirls of the slash persuasion have, like, proper jobs ( Read more... )

I think the \o/ badge is a great idea, but mainly only DS-people and 6-degrees would recognise it. Maybe a badge that said "I <3 /" ? Simple but clear to any slasher within a thousand miles! And dude - unis are THE place for slashers.

Somebody on my flist had a custom t-shirt made that read:

I ♥ /

I don't know if anybody ever "got it", but I thought that was cool.

It got me started envisioning a line of jewelry, like a heart pendant with a slash through the center of it, or something. Heh.

Yes! I like the jewelery idea - like a stylised "/" or something. *Ponders*

I have a t-shirt that I made that says "I <3..." and then a picture of a cat. *Is so witty*

I walked past two girls today - they were cute and walking together and giggling, and I thought 'dude, totally queer, and also, probably fangirls about SOMETHING'. So, yeah. :)

We totally need to have a / design made so people can make earrings/t-shirts and stuff with them so people can see. Or maybe something like... two little people holding hands? Ooh, maybe a ship type design. Or something? Cause there's only a few situations where you can start loudly talking about slash and see if they notice/approve.

I'm leaning toward the "/" design because it's simple and universal to all slashers without having to, you know, get the word out.

(I bet they were queer! And talking about rimming. Hee.)

It was so odd, looking around the room during panels and thinking Wait. What? You're a slasher? I don't know why it was such a 'whoa' moment - I doubt that the first thing people think when they look at me is I bet that girl likes to read gay porn, AWESOME though it would be. But it was definitely an eye-opening experience. There's some little part of my brain sekritly wondering about every person I pass now.

I wouldn't have thought it of you because you have this kind of innocence about you. But you're not innocent. You're a dirty, filthy, porn-reading freak. \o/
