As always, I love Nino's interviews, thank you for translating!
I think the most loyal and passionate fans want them to be themselves and go with whatever they want to do, but I think for the big chunk of fans that like them lightheartedly, and the people that are on the verge of entering the fandom there needs to be a certain balance. I think Arashi have become that big thanks to that balance. It's a harsh reality that the entertainment world is a lot about image.
it's interesting how he approaches work and how he (and the rest of Arashi as well, and maybe that's typical Japanese) always put the "customer" / othe people around in front and his own wishes to the second. But still, I got the feeling he's now more able to realize his own desires what and how to d it.
Ahhhhh, i remember his past interviews (of course not all of them) when he was still answer jokingly or not to be serious. in his last interviews, maybe because he is much older now, and become an adult too, his answers more and more deep, leave something in the reader's mind.
perhaps among the members, he is the one that i love reading the interviews (if someone kind enough to translate ^^). usually, he always use difficult words and hard to understand, but that's why i love his interview.
