I'll be copying most of this onto TORn's OT boards. Public on purpose.

My thanks to allinthecookies for the photos from her iPhone! The only camera I have is the 600 dollar "paparazzi" camera, which weren't allowed on set. If you want me to take the photos off and make them friends only, I will :P

So allinthecookies and I- let's call her N- went down to LA to be extras in a ( Read more... )

It definitely was. I'll admit, I sort of want to become a full time extra now. It was just so very interesting.

Oh how cool! *is envious* I know a couple of people who have met Orlando in person behind the scenes and say he is a complete doll. Very kind, compassionate and just endearing. One of them got me and the elfling an autograph and as she spelled the elfling's name for him, he asked "really? It's spelled like that?" (because I hate normal name spellings!) and she told him yea, and he said to tell her mum she did good. :) I keep telling the elfling she should write him a letter. He might recognize the spelling of her name. ;)

So nice you got to experience that!

Yea, he was surprisingly really nice; the only one who matched him in complete niceness was the director. Thornton seemed like a decent guy, too.

Hee, I didn't get to tell my name to him, but I imagine he hasn't met too many Suvi's. XD

Wow, I wonder how this was found out? XD I'm glad you liked the report. It was a fascinating experience; I'd recommend to try being an extra at least once, just to see what happens.

I shall never forgive you for not posting a picture of Mark Ruffalo. Never, ever, ever.

But that sounds like a ton of fun!!!! I would have preferred to stay far to the back, too.

I'm the one that took the pictures, and I tried to get some of him but he was always standing where it was too dark and the iphone has no flash. I have some pictures of him on stage but you can't even tell it's him.

Well, thanks for trying, at least! I'm not sure I would have been composed enough to do much more than point the camera at him and whimper. ;)

Yea, it was really, really dark in the theatre; getting good photos was impossible, and Ruffalo was always in the dark :/

I liked the back just because we got to see all the camera work and talk with the director. I could care less if my face is on screen. I was still there :)
