My wife, Abigail Marston, died this mornin'.

[There's a pause and a rustle. And there's a low groan in the background.]

Anyone know how long it usually takes folks to come back? An' if they'll still be in pain when they do?

[Tosh sounds bleary as hell. Allergies. :c]

...I'm sorry.

She should be restored in about six to eight hours. There are some residual pains based on how it happened, but they clear up after a few days, with rest.

[John's a little bleary himself from crying manly things.]

Six to eight hours. Thank you, miss.

What do you think 'residual pains' for coughin' up blood is?

[There's something slightly off about his wife. Something slightly not-quite-living still.

She gets to her feet unsteadily, rocking back and forth like she's forgotten how to move.]

[John hears the sound of the Infirmary bed creak and turns around to see his wife standing. He's more than a little surprised to see her up and about already.]

Lay down, darlin'. I'll get anything you need.

[He's hurrying over to her side, eyebrows pressed in toward his nose in concern.]

Insert concerned conversation here. Again, so I don't self-thread. heavenonthemind October 30 2010, 21:28:24 UTC
