This one gets a reply though: YOU DID A CLOSE UP CROP WITH IT. HOW? I am so jealous!
ITS ALL IN THE BASE PREPARATION MY DEAR! (Which reminds me, that's a tip/trick that I need to include once I start writing up all those questions. I really should get on that!) - But also, lots of blur layers AND Paint Daubs, which I LOVE YOU FOREVER FOR INTRODUCING ME TO!

And in response to your response to my next icon battle idea? YES YES YES. (But maybe a couple of episodes in. Just because then we have more awesome iconable options ... and lets face it, more squee-able Finn/Rachel and fierce HBIC Quinn scenes Y/Y?)
