I like this idea, always got pissed off for the fact that many characters don't get slash because of ageism but I don't think I have any pairings over 40. I'm watching the other over 40 lj comm but my fandom characters that are over 40 I don't know them too well to write at this moment.

Well they don't have to be 40 in canon. Like I can write dS fic 10 years later then they are over 40. So it is open to all pretty much. ;-)

This is a great idea. One of my fandoms has a 900+ year old and a 168 year old. Think they qualify?

(I'm going to suggest that even S1 Jack is probably over 40, just because he's from the 51st century and I'll bet he could easily be 50 and look 38. And both the actors are now over 40, but even then were 40 and 38, so is that close enough?!)

And yeah to me S1 Jack is over 40. It's neveer mentioned in canon as to his age and Jack being Jack...

Plus they don't have to be 40 in canon ;-)
