I don't think I've talked about it before on my LJ, but a friend of mine from work taught me to crochet last year, and then managed (somehow) to teach me to knit. Well, I've worked on a scarf, but never finished it, but this morning I finally finished my first knitted project, and I wanted to show it off because I'm super proud. very cool! I like the colors! can't wait to see how the next project turns out.

now, if only I can get my mom to finish the scarf she's supposedly been making me for the last two years. translation: I sent her yarn 2 years ago and she has not started it yet.

you are awesome! I can crochet and I do lots of stuff but I want to knit, it's more versatile. I tried it once and just couldnt get the hang of it.

Those would be very impressive even if they weren't your first knitted project!

And to think...I get all proud when I sew a button back on.

Very Cool! They look really professional, almost like they were machine knitted. Quite an achievement for a first knitting project. It's usually difficult for a beginner to keep the tension even enough to get that kind of result until you've been knitting for while. And they look really WARM, too! I've been sitting at the computer so long this afternoon that my feet are cold enough at the moment to want to try them!

CONGRATULATIONS! (So does this mean you now have time to finish the story you sent me the first half of this morning? And then maybe, just maybe, can I finally revive my hope for Kasta/Youji/Aya?)
