Sometimes I feel bad that I don't update this very often. Some of my f-list update every day, telling people how their day went, and I really like reading those. But to answer "why are neko-boys okay when human shota aren't"....
It's the "not-real" factor. In general, we as people have a limited ability to disassociate empathy. A picture of a human boy will raise empathy, even though it's a manga-style picture in a fictional manga story. It's still too close to reality, and since the situation in the story is completely objectionable in reality, it's not acceptable to you in the manga; that is, it squicks you out. This is a good level of empathy, I suggest you keep it!
When you see a neko-boy, though, there's always an immediate visual reminder that this is not real and never can be. Those ears and that tail cannot exist in real life. So your empathy for the child character can be turned down, and your brain can allow itself to appreciate the art and the story for itself, rather than worry about the shadow of ( ... )

No. NO, NO, NO more Guild Wars!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one she's been ignoring of late, and I'd be happy to have her in touch with you. But Guild Wars is eating up ALL her free time, and she NEEDS TO WRITE!!

i guess it really depends on my mood and what's going on my life. i know there are times i post many times a day and other times i go several days, but i guess for the most part i'm pretty prolific.
and then there's the summer when i don't have internet access... *shrugs* life is odd.
