Some real darkness in this, but you wrote it so well.

Cinna’s heart pounded up against his ribs, jostling around the rich meal he’d eaten and making him feel clammy and shaky and sick.

Finnick Odair was in his bedroom.

Finnick Odair was sitting on his bed.

Finnick Odair thought he didn’t even look like a person.

I just love that. You capture that teenage feeling of uncertain excitement so well.

I have read this and also your Cinna D4 origins story, and I just have to tell you that your writing is amazing and adddictive and mesmerising and didtrating me when I'm meant to be studying.
As a percy jackson fan and mythology geek, I love your little hints at greek mythology. Sea stories in D4 and cinnas mum being Phersphone, actuallly PHERESPHONE Phersephone = A win of the highest order.

My favourate was probably the D4 one so far, as I love annie as a character, and also Adore the sea. But I'm not finished thiisyet!

I love reading young Cinna... and I love the idea of Cinna being a Finnick fanboy. The image of him scrambling to wipe off all that District One make-up to better suit his crush was cute. I mean I can only imagine ... being a teenager and going up to my room to see whoever I was crushing on at that time on my bed. He handled it better than I would've, that's for sure. LOL

Even with all this privilege, there's something really sad and lonely about D1-Cinna. Although I guess D4-Cinna was just as sad and lonely but in a different way.

Thank you, dear! Yes, I think D1Cinna is by far the loneliest -- you'll find out why in the second half, but he BREAKS MY HEART and I loved writing this canon, even though it's not the one that I think is "true."

D1Cinna is a pervy li'l Finnick fanboy. Which was fun to write, and also sad, and also guilty, lol.

I was rereading this today, and I don't know why I never noticed that Finnick's arena is what seems to be the ruins of Chicago. Now I'm experiencing really, really weird homesickness. ;)
