Max is/was my favorite TMI character. :( My other fave is Simon, and I'm betting Second Cycle will kill me.

I kind of want Alec or Isabelle to be the villain -- I could especially see it as Isabelle, but yeah. I love Alec, too, but I'm not a huge Magnus fan except in TID.

I gotta say, it's Jace's reactions that get me most here, from remembering the details of the doll, to his desire to care more instead of shutting people out... it's all very lip-wibble worthy.

Though I'm actually entertained to see Magnus's reaction as well. It's always fascinating to see what he sees, because he's emotionally invested, but still an observer, for the most part. And Clary's morose moments with the manga remind me of how much I liked Max in the first place, furthering the tragedy.

Of course you would win, this is stunning. Mortal Instruments is sadly a small fandom in comparison to Hunger Games but thank God there's people like you writing for it, regardless.

Again, you write a story about a character and end up revealing a hell of a lot about the other characters, too. ♥

I had almost forgotten about Clary's promise to Max about the manga! Oh, that is so bitter-sweet.

Wonderful work. I'll most definitely be keeping an eye out for that Sherlock fic, if you ever get around to it. :D

It's true, TMI/TID have smaller fandoms for fic, definitely -- that really surprised me, actually, because the Twitter and Tumblr factions of their fandom are HUGE.

I'm not 100% thrilled with how this turned out, because the contest had a 1,000-word maximum limit, but I'm glad you liked it. ♥
