I would be much more responsive to Emily Bronte if Wuthering Heights played out like this.

Hannah has a ukulele. Emily and I were semi-performing Lina: The Musical for her and we reached the 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' moment wherein Lina regales the audience as to her feelings about Tom Felton by singing 'Toxic'. Hannah has been practicing chords ( Read more... )

There is nothing that compete with it except the several thousand word rhyming epic poem entitled The Zsofiessey.

:O Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain are love. We got to go and see them on a school trip last term and it was great.

Hannah and I went to them when they were in town. So much love. Their version of 'Teenage Dirtbag', I practically cried.

I love them a lot. And am seriously depressed I couldn't find their version of 'Leaning of a Lamppost' - basically, what if George Formby had been performing in Soviet Russia?

I love you. And weirdly, Will linked me to that exact video last night. I'm not sure if he got it from your post or if you two are psychically attuned. Still!

We are probably psychically attuned. Seems most likely.

I have been singing 'Heathcliff (Heathcliff) It's me Cathy come and I'm so co-o-o-old' since Thursday night. My family hates me.

Seeing as you don't live with your family that's quite an achievement :)

Hello. Came across you completely randomly, and considering the fact that you not only have a High Fidelity-eque list of desert island novels, but that it is also topped by Northanger Abbey, naturally I investigated your journal and found you somewhat entertaining. A dislike of Wuthering Heights adds to the appeal. So the long and the short of it is, I hope you don't mind that I have friended you. I'm not a freaky stalker, I promise.

You have a Phil Jupitus icon! Yes.
Also, Northanger Abbey is for the win.
Of course I don't mind that you've added me back. Have done the same.
