well, I think why not? I didn't read your tumblr so I didn't know your reasons... but... really why not? XD As for me, I separate my writing blog with my normal LJ cuz for one) the fanfiction world and my LJ older friends are in different circles so I don't want to spam them with fics XDD two) I've announced my LJ to the world (as in: real life acquaintances and friends etc) so no I don't want them to know/ read what I write XDDDD~ three) it's true, it's easier to organize them in one place rather than having them mixed up with non-fiction posts ^^

so yeah, why not.. hahahaha~~

There's nothing wrong with opening a comm, (coming from someone who has opened two comms. LOL~) But, yeah, whatever reason you have for wanting to open, I don't think it's anybody's business at all (if there are people who opposes your decision). They're your fics and you can do whatever you want with them as long as you're happy.
