I'm probably going to stop selling custom hair extensions pretty soon,
as not enough people have been ordering. I'll probably just use all the dye and extensions I have left to make sets, and it will only be in whatever colours and length I have left. So if you DO want to buy some custom extensions from me, I suggest you put your order in now, to ( Read more... )

That is amazing!! I love old school photography, it's so hands on and fun.

It is, but kind of stressful when you need it to go RIGHT, and it doesn't always seem to behave for me! I'll probably use the old school method for a separate project.

i think having it printed in a contemporary way will add a nice twist to what your trying to achieve :) perhaps you could even experiment with distorting the printed image after wards? so it has more of a old feeling, bit torn/tattered.

Yeah :D
I may do, but the prints are gunna cost so much I might not want to risk it! I'm probably going to add quite a lot of texture in photoshop anyway

I think the digital one works better and digital is more flexible anyway. The grain on the lith one makes it appear even older, maybe you could add more grain to the digital one.

You would like all the weird, antique items I have in my room; scales, cameras, mounted butterflies, etc.

Definitely! I shall probably need to create my own textures at some point for this.

I think I would! I have quite a few random things but at the moment not enough surfaces to put them on, if that makes sense. My partner's current flat is pretty amazing though, lots of wood surfaces and shutters.

These are both beautiful. The first definitely has that old, vintage, look down. The digital has that same, vintage quality by using the sepia tones but a bit of a modern twist to it.

I understand and can well imagine you're stressing right now. This is your last, big, project. You want it to be perfect. I am sure you will make this look amazing and show at least a part of you as an artist and photographer.

I like the idea [info]filishom had of it looking a bit more distressed. Carrying it in your bag between books [regardless it will get tatty even if it is between books] for a few days/week and it will naturally start to look a bit more worn and tatty on the edges. Corners will probably get bent a little too.

Thank you!

Exactly... I think I have decided exactly what I'm going to do now, which is a relief I suppose!

I probably won't be able to do anything like that because the prints will be A1, and will cost quite a bit to print on canvas, so I don't want to risk anything!

I'm a bit curious, but is the film picture wrinkled from the jamming? (It happens often to my photography classmate and she really is good at using the faults as the composition)

The Vanitas ideas sound awesome. Can't wait to see your further experiments using clocks and half-eaten food :)

My Bronica is a bit crap and jams about halfway through the film, so it was probably from that, or somehow light got in, but I was planning to use that as a composition as well :D
