Would any of you lovely residents of America be willing to buy me a little something next time you are in Forever21? I'd really love to purchase THIS in (small) black, but they are charging $35 for delivery to the UK. Shipping shouldn't cost more than $5 for something that small, so if anyone were willing to do this for me I'll cover the costs

That Photobook is seriously amazing! ! !
And I work pretty damn close to a massive Forever 21, so I can go by tomorrow and check if they have it in your size and whatnot (I personally want the black for myself, aha)

I really really like Mann`s works sooooo much! I want that album too! I saw the documental movie about her 3 times on different occasions too....

Your description of Mann's work reminds me of an important theoretical piece by Walter Benjamin, an essay called the Trauerspiel. It is meant to be about some German tragic drama, but delves into the meanings of things. It's been many years since I read the Trauerspiel, but if memory serves the theory indicated that with the passage of time a thing changes in such a way that it becomes something different, but at the same time is even more essentially what it was meant to be. The hollowing out that occurs with the loss of things that cannot survive the passage of time also acts to strip away all but the most basic part of a thing, sort of purifying it.

The ring is amazing D; I'm such a sucker for crucifix rings.

The book looks really interesting. I really like the portrait on the right. But both photo's look very ghost-like. which I kinda like anyway.
