Yesterday the 12th was my first neice Ariel's birthday. Happy 23rd.

Today my grandmother Adrienne died.

Oh, there'll be wailing and gnashing of teeth later. First, I have to be strong for my mother who just lost her parent.

Thanks for commenting. It means a lot that friends were paying attention. As for it not being a great time of late, I didn't think of it like that. It's not that death is wonderful, but my friends were there when I needed them, including both J and N.

All that, and doctard and screwdoctor are making me laugh like I've never laughed before. It's all so, so... Stranger Things without actually being ST. :D

Thanks. I appreciate the sentiment. It's all so strange, too. For example, I read about the death of Steve Irwin in your LJ, and that's how I found out first. That left me feeling in a mental funk all day. And with my grandmother with whom I was very close, I had this sense of acceptance. It's not that I won't miss her because i will, but in some ways I started saying my goodbyes a long time ago. (She was voluntarily bed-ridden for 3 years after removal of a brain tumor.)

So thanks for stopping by. It's nice to know people care.

You've already given me more love and hugs than one person could know what to do with in the best of times. Or the worst of times as how things go for us. Thank you for the phone calls and the willingness to just "be there" for whatever I might need.
