Overflowing writing ideas!

Not a bad thing here. I'm finishing up a short story I started in July that was my Camp NaNoWriMo entry. I completed my word count, but the completion of the story has sailed at least 14K words beyond that. Much of a surprise considering that I am hand writing it in a cheap 17 cent notebook ( Read more... )

I sort of thought that, too. But once I started doing my own original writing on ideas that I am really passionate about, I was like, "Hey, I can write BOTH original fiction AND fanfiction!" Can't wait to read about your NaNo projects. :)

Thanks! I had a good birthday this year. I didn't think it was going to turn out so well, but it did thanks to a good friend who stepped in to make sure it was a day of FUN.

Oddly from this message, I haven't been writing squat lately. My dad died in December. I don't think I wrote about that. In February, I started looking for a house to buy. I closed on the house in May. I love it. I've also been doing yard work and enjoying that, which is something I formerly would not have envisioned myself doing (or feeling).

My condolences on your Dad's passing. It's hard to lose someone you love - went through that in January myself.
YAY on the house! That's always good news. :D

I've not been writing for about a year and a half really, but now that I'm on new meds, I finally see a break in the clouds - which - very good!

Hopefully I'll be up to being a NaNo buddy this year!

I tell myself I want to write, and I still have the unfinished stories in my head. I was even going to write during this July CampNaNoWriMo. I just haven't started. The nice thing about Camp is that at least we can pick our own word goals, and it isn't too late to start ( ... )
