The Epic Pairing Table of Doctor Who Fandom

Fandoms.  A diverse, colourful, often divisive scene - and no area of fandom moreso than pairings.

Well, I'm not much of a 'shipper myself.  I've been known to write Master/Rani in subtext, Master/Lucy Saxon briefly where it fitted with canon, and Master/Valeyard...heh, I think I just like writing the Master, don't I?  Usually stick to genfic, though.

Some people, however, seem to have a whole flippin' armada of 'ships!  Some people will pair anyone and everyone.  Some have their beloved OTPs and OT3s that they devote their attentions entirely to.  Even canon gives us a few occasionally!  I've been hanging around in various areas of fandom for a while now, and it's occurred to me that I've seen quite a variety of pairings attempted in fanworks...so, out of curiosity, I cobbled together a nice, big, square table with little boxes!  I racked my brains and ticked those little boxes for every pairing I could recall having seen in the Doctor Who fandom between every character I've ever seen paired...and here it is!  Fandom, I present the Epic Pairing Table of Doctor Who Fandom!

So, who fancies helping me fill it in?

I can't remember where I saw most of these, but I will make an attempt to put in links to an example of each pairing.  If you've seen any ticked pairings and can flick me a link, please do and I'll add it!  Similarly, if you've either seen or written one that isn't ticked, please comment with a link and I'll add it.  You have to include a link, though - I'm afraid I can't just take your word for it that "I saw Vastra/Brigadier, Jamie/Rory and Susan/Gwen once".

Fanworks include fanfiction, fanart, meta discussion, photomanips, poetry/trock...it doesn't count those "list your 10 favourite characters" memes, though, I'm afraid (otherwise I'd have a Davros/Dream Lord box ticked in there!).  Doesn't matter if it's crack or serious - there's a fine line, sometimes, when it gets hard to judge, so I'll stick 'em all in.  Also counts canon - if there's anything I've forgotten, let me know.

If you fancy deliberately writing/drawing something specifically to fill an unticked box, that's very cool - comment with a link and I'll add it!

C'mon - let's see how many of those little Xs we can uncover!

The Epic Pairing Table of Doctor Who Fandom
Disclaimer: I'm not making any comment on whether I'm for or against any of these pairings.  They're just pairings I've seen done - I haven't necessarily read the fics, and I can't say whether I thought they were any good.  Also, this is a pairing table - some of these Xs may link to fics or art with various warnings and various subject matter, so be warned and click at your own risk.

Table is big.  Scary big.  It's just HTML - not a huge file size, works fine on dial-up, but it will stretch your screen.

Also, it's hosted on someone else's computer, so if they turn it off or their internet crashes, the link will be temporarily unavailable.
