I know you are probably venting a most of this is pretty non-seq but

Not caring is not acceptable.
Get off your goddamn asses. Your opinion not truth. Caring did nothing for me. I like state of apathy I'm in. Freaking about world that won't change for you is foolish to me.

You say I should care about politices that make no sense to me, no matter how much I try to get them.

Why?

The world only refuses to change because people decide that it's not worth it to care. Because they don't see change, they decide it's not worth it, and so it's a vicious circle.

You should care about policies that make no sense to you... because they do affect you. They can and will change the quality of your life and the way it can be lived.
If you were being treated unfairly, you'd care. If you were being treated well, you'd care. If your life was in the gutter due to forces beyond your control, you'd care.
And those can be the direct effects of those kinds of things.

Here is the thing

I care about things that do matter to me
-Sustianable and fair trade
-Organic living
-Autism rights
-Disabled rights
-School system and good education

I care about those and I am active those areas. Do I give a shit about Gay rights and marriage? Not in a big way nor I am activist on that. What about taxes and big state bugets and cuts? Not really. Most of the stuff I do get into concerns about me. I don't care about other NT bullshit that really has concern for me. I do want interests me.

I can understand your reasoning but personally I understand why Americans become so apathetic, they are fat and happy Romans with their bread and circuses. Why should they give a shit about starving Africans? We don't get into our gov' because I believe we are cut off from it.

Actually, taxes will definitely affect you in a mere matter of time... because they define how our social things (firemen, police, teachers, libraries, health-care) are funded, along with other things.

I'm a very radical liberal... so I believe in the best of all. I'm active in everything because I, on the whole, believe that everything matters. I care about gay rights because I'm a flaming jumping queerbag, but I care about pretty much... everything else, because people, on the whole, are what matter to me.

I can see why they are, too.
The problem is that we need to change it.
