I killed it ...

This week, I've spend entire mornings trying to catch dogs that don't want to be caught, being chased by rabid monkeys and wtf is this....

It has eight legs, a claw like structure and tentacles feelers. It's larger than my palm when spread out-- the marker is for size reference.

Same here -- I have a policy of never killing anything that comes into the house including scorpions and this one scared me so much...

I wonder -- can I mount it on the wall; it'll make a great conversation piece.

Hah. It looks like the spider that Barty Crouch Jr (as Madeye) cast the Cruciatus curse on in Harry Potter.

Otherwise, it could be a jumping spider?

Wait, you mean it could have jumped on me as well!!! It didn't jump, it was on water -- in my bathroom.

Well, that's why I was so hesitant to say. Jumping spiders, which usually have feelers, look like actual spiders. And they're normally hairy, which yours doesn't seem to be at all. A bit more snooping around and it looks more like a tailless whip scorpion, which seems to correlate a bit more to your region, based on the other pictures you've posted. But they're still really creepy. I'd hate to find one of those in my bathroom.

They don't have any venom or silk glands and according to the Interwebs they don't bite very often, but they can try and stab you with the pincers. I think you're relatively safe from them, haha.

Ha ha a type of scorpion -- what fun. But it's the way they look that freaks me out. I'm scared of spiders and this one looks too much like a spider.

Omg... -.- Some kind of crab/lobster/spider mix? X_____________X At least it's dead, hopefully you didn't have to do the catching/killing.
