Wow, the idea of the Doctor working as a slave is really quite chilling.

Excellent update - you're OCs are really fascinating, and I love the way you're using the plot to draw our three heroes together.

Oh, thank you! I'm so pleased you're enjoying the story. :) I agree, the Doctor as a slave is entirely chilling--not least because we have an idea what he'll be like when he gets out. We've seen him when he lets himself fall into that cold, hard rage of his (Christmas Invasion, Runaway Bride, etc.); how much worse will it be when he's been the victim? And when he learns more about the victims he doesn't know about? Including a very specific one....

Yes. Yes, you do. Go rent the movie Serenity and watch that; it'll give you great background without having to watch the 14 episodes of the series. (Though that will CERTAINLY not be a waste of your time, if you choose to do that, too!)

I actually have it sitting here next to me. Someone gave it to us. I've just never had time to sit down to watch it. Working 3 jobs doesn't leave much time for anything else except for random fan fiction reading :)

This was great. Very plotty and exciting. It always makes me chuckle when people underestimate Jack, or any of our heroes. They don't know what they're in for. Much the way I enjoy Jacob calling Jack son. Looks can be deceiving.

Oh and the Doctor, not realizing rescue is on the way and plotting his own justice. This story gets better every week. Seems like that should be hard to do since the bar was set so high right from the start.
