Oh, the suspense!

One of the themes I like the most about DW/TW is created family. It may be a whacked-out, dysfunctional family-- but they have each other's backs. I love how the TW team, the Doctor, and Rose are all watching over Jack. Of course, that will only continue to work if Jack doesn't take off! Argh!

Oh, don't worry, Jack will stick to his created family like a burr. And they will be happy to provide a human/Gallifreyan shield for him, themselves. However, there is a great deal more to this than meets the eye, as I'm sure you've worked out for yourself. :)

I love Rose and the Doctor's concern for Jack through this. I've got no idea what he's going to find out, or if this Karen can even be trusted, but I'm eagerly waiting for more :)

Oh, thank you! Yes, this is a deeply-connected team, far more than just lovers, and they will have his back no matter what happens. Poor boy may just need it, too.... ;)

Eee, cliffhanger! Looking forward to finding out more - there's so many possibilities for Jack's past and it's fun when a good writer fills some of them in.

Sounds like some good developement here...and I like how everyone was arranged to watch Jack...especially how Rose did what was necessary so she and the Doctor were'nt noticed by Karen.

Jackie didn't raise no fools, and all that time in Torchwood, in both universes, taught Rose a lot about stakeouts. And no matter how much Jack protests, he really doesn't mind an eye being kept on him. Poor boy doesn't have much family other than what he's created--but his created family is stronger than titanium. :)
