I'm off to Idaho tomorrow for the long weekend, to visit dameruth. I'm really looking forward to the trip--I've been looking forward to it for weeks, since we planned it awhile back--but somehow, this trip is making Jeff's death even harder; he was living in Boise when he died. Thanks, hon. He really was a most extraordinary man, and he'll be greatly missed by a lot of people.

Grief is timeless, I know; it's amazing how something that seems like it's just started gnawing at your heart can also seem as if it's been doing it for centuries. May your trip to peaceful and joyful; may it help your journey through grief.

Thank you so much. I just finished reading another friend's LJ, where he talked about some of his favorite memories of Jeff, and I responded with some of mine, so I'm a bit weepy again. I expect I will be, off and on, for quite a while.
