I think that you sound like a fantastic teacher, and I wish you had been one of mine when I was going to school.

Aww, thanks, sweetie. :) And I just edited the entry to note--I was wrong, it's not 20 days, it's 20 WEEKS. That's 3/4 of the school year! *boggles*

Ooh, exciting! And that's great resume stuff, you know ;) But, yeah, it'll take a lot of your time and energy. I hope you get along with her and that she shows promise - that'll make things a lot easier :)

Astonishing isn't it? I had my first student teacher last year. I taught her all of my bad habits, and now she has a fifth grade class in my district...makes me proud!

Once you get her trained sit back, she totally took over my class for several weeks. It was teaching lite for me!

I'd take another anytime!

That's one thing I miss in my current, itinerent line of work...setting up my classroom and starting a fresh new year.
