If I'd read this as an introduction in the asperger community, I'd welcome you as One of Us. But of course I've met you in real life, and you don't come across as autistic.
I find myself wondering whether you've got so committed to the expectation of rejection that it's impossible to accept you without invalidating you.
That's sort of a variation on the theme of being really fond of my differences... that I could end up placing a higher value on my understanding of myself as a perpetually rejected person than I do on the opportunities for connection. Which is kind of paradoxical if true since you could sort of say there's something a bit pathological about someone who would have those priorities.

It sounds to me like the Suffolk trans group would accept you, especially if you come across as sincere, and seem to accept them. Of course, as you know, there's no guarantees; but in this case, there's strong possibilities. So go for it!
