Words don't work like Webster says

I would be done with my next update if not for Ephraim.  I loaded my game on Sunday and was surprised to find he had a black scalp.  Changing his appearance did nothing to help.  Deleting him and reentering the lot did nothing to help.  I was at a loss.  I admit that at one point I considered killing him off, although that would present story ( Read more... )

I am terrible about answering my phone. Between getting lots of junk messages, and important messages that I just can't bring myself to listen to, it can be a week or more before I pick them up, which is terrible, I know. The cell is easy. I just never turn it on, and I don't even know how to use the voice mail feature.

A Locks update will make me smile whenever it comes out.

I don't know how the black scalp thing could have happened. Someone is bound to know, but if you've got a temporary fix, then you're all right.

I didn't even think about Valentine's Day. I was busy getting out a chapter and reading a nice new double *Ten Caesars* chapter. I just reminded myself that it probably wasn't a good idea to try to go out to eat that night. But it sounds like you had fun!

I'm inundated by grading at the moment and a little nervous about the firm deadline for next Monday, but otherwise feeling fine.

Voicemail is about the only thing I do know how to use on my phone. A friend just recently called out on my voicemail message. It contains all the usual except that I never say I'll get back to the caller as soon as possible/as soon as I can. I think it says something like, "If you leave a message, I'll be sure to get back to you." A week is pretty standard.

I've spent a long time trying to catch up on Ten Caesars. I'm not there yet, but, hey, there's a legacy that seems to run on my timetable. :)

Good to hear you're feeling all right. Good luck on the deadline!

I sell cell phones by the sea shore. ;)
I get so sick of these blasted pieces of equipment. People are so dependant on them nowadays that godforbid something happen to them. Just think that 10 years ago ppl used home phones and didn't have contacts storage, and they had to remember numbers or write them down. You suggest that to someone now, OMG>

*looks around* sorry for the ranty......
Back to fun stuff. I'm sorry to hear that the update got pushed back due to gitchy badness. At least its fixed, right?
I will wait *somewhat* :) patiently.

Haha, rant away! I admit that phones are handy, but I can function just fine without the thing. Phedre is on hers all the time. And when she's not talking on it, she's texting. It drives me batty.

Yep, all fixed. Or it seems to be. At the very least, I know what to do if it happens again. :)

I'm actually really quite good with my Cell Phone. It's e-mails I'm terrible at responding too and checking regularly because I get so much spam. I'd much rather friends contact me by phone than e-mail.

Glad you fixed the Ephraim issue. Excited for Locks update whenever it comes :)

I much prefer a happy phone call to an email too. I'd be sad if my friends didn't call me. I think I just go at a much slower pace than the rest of the world. They're hard to keep up with!

Thanks!

I used to be a member of the Cell Hatred Club, but then my family switched to Verizon so now I actually get reception at home, which makes me happy.

The Ephraim glitch sounds like a scary one. I am ashamed to say that I didn't remember who he was for a second, but then you mentioned Theda and I was like "OH YEAH, THAT GUY. I like him." I'm looking forward to a Locks update whenever you've got one.

Scary in a, 'What kind of mess did I get myself into now?' sort of way. I haven't played again since so I'm not entirely sure the fix stuck, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't have.

Aww, it doesn't really surprise me that there'd be Ephraim-forgetting. I doubt I would have remembered either if the tables were turned. :)

Yay for fixing the issue, boo for it taking up your playing time.

I'm excited for Lockses but I still haven't commented on the recap because I'm lame. And you say you're a slow updater. Pshhh. Still faster than me, lol.

I don't mind the cell phone, because my friends and family already know that there's only a thirty percent chance I'll answer it and that leaving a voice mail is futile because I won't check it until people start telling me they can't leave me any because it's full. I'll check texts though.
I want to play Risk! I haven't in ages. Man, what a complicated game, lol. But still fun. :D You should have invited me, I would have brought Applebee's.

I'm not just slow updater, I'm slooooooow. (Secretly, I am a turtle.) It's a wonder anybody reads my legacy at all.

I need to get my butt in gear and comment on your Lattes. You already know this, but I really can't wait to see Blueberry's babies! I'm so excited about that.

At least you have everyone trained, right? It works out well that way. And 30% is a pretty decent percentage, all things considered. Seems reasonable to me. I mean, when you've got a cell phone, people can reach you anytime and anywhere. Sometimes you just don't want to talk or you're in a place where you'd rather not or can't.

You know I'd totally invite you, food or no. (Extra buffalo wings, please? :P )
