Very nice! I like how you used repetition to slide the reader into Helo's thoughts, and I love the imagery (fire images are fun).

This is one of those deleted scenes that feel real.......

I like fire images too. Probably why I use them, lol! I'm glad I was able to make the extension I wrote feel real. Like I said in my A/N, I just thought with the way Helo felt about Sharon at that moment, there's no way he would be able to let her go right away.
