Oh I liked the original ending, but this was good, really had the right tone, and poor Jack, but I loved that Ianto was waiting for him and told him to live life for Ianto - that was so sweet! I loved this ending too!

I like a happy ending but I think this ending fits the overall fic a lot better. I've always seen Jack and Ianto as a tragic pairing so darkfic and unhappy endings do fit for me, as sad as they are. And this was beautiful, very bittersweet. Thanks for sharing it.

Thank-you. I think happy endings are fine in the right place but there's something about a doomed love story that just... works, especially for these two.

Good story. Thanks for the choice of happy or sad ending. Both very well written. The softie in me chose the happy ending but read both.
