This semester, I'm working on my senior capstone. The topic? The French "Pacte Civil de Solidarite" (PaCS). Which is kind of like civil unions in the US.

I hate bad stages. :( I'm glad the show went well, though.

What's Georgetown's library like? I remember hating my university's library. It was large, but almost too large... it was such a pain figuring out where everything was, and it wasn't inviting at all. Rarely was the temperature comfortable, and the building wasn't in very good shape. Yuck. (I know it sounds silly, but that kind of thing can influence how long I'm willing to study or research.)

Georgetown's library is huge and in terrible shape as well. This time, though, it wasn't as intimidating as the first time I went there. I think my main problem with it is that it's the Georgetown library. There's this stereotype at my school that everyone's there because they didn't get into Georgetown. In my case, it's actually true, and although I'm really happy with my school, and would've been miserable at Georgetown, I can't help but have a little bit of a complex about it.

My school's library isn't much friendlier than Georgetown's. Granted, you don't have to do anything silly like show an ID or sign in, but the colors are all 70s oranges, and the chairs aren't comfortable either (some are, but not where it's secluded enough for me to concentrate). It's not silly at all to want a comfortable atmosphere! I really can't get work done if I can't concentrate and I can't concentrate if I'm not at least reasonably comfy.

Thanks for the luck! Hopefully I won't need it, but when it's almost the end of the semester and I have to edit this behemouth? I'll be grateful for it, I'm sure!
