Yesterday was my last Spanish class, and today was my last dance class. Everything's coming to an end again. After class last night, crazykawaii and I joined everyone for dinner at a Japanese restaurant near here. It was so much fun. How do you write out choreography? Do you know shorthand? I've always had trouble writing it down the way I want (but I've never actually had anyone teach me any kind of shorthand techniques).

I don't know why I would be (I'm not that interesting), but I'd love to be considered the strangest American someone had ever met. :)

I actually took a class to learn labanotation in high school, but never learned it well enough to be useful. I would love to take a refresher course, especially since there are jobs you can get if you know dance notation well enough. As it is, I just take notes that only make sense to me (and don't always make sense even to me. *g*). Also, since flamenco is very rhythmic and footwork heavy, the way I write it out would be very different from how I would write out, say, modern dance. I actually never tried to write out modern dance (aside from in my labanotation class). I guess I was just never responsible for as much choreography in as short of a time in modern as I have been for flamenco.

I bet you're totally that interesting. I used to think that I was incredibly boring until pretty recently, when I realized that it's just that many of my interests are pretty obscure.
