Pelle is just wierd. He's very good at holding the ball & laying it off but practially useless when it comes to burying the fecking ball to the net :\

Based just on these few games, I'd love to see them play like a really attacking 4-3-2-1, with Pelle up top lying the ball off, and Pocket Rocket and Osvi free behind him. (I don't even really care who is in the midfield, I just HATE Osvi up top all alone, he's totally wasted up there. In his 15 mins in the second half today he started dropping deeper and getting out wide, and it was so much better.)

I didn't watch the game, so the Azzurrini actually played a good game? Or was it only because the US were so bad? I mean the Azzurrini didn't really impress me in any way against Ivory Coast and Turkey.
(If only there'd been a picture of Osvi's face in Dessena's neck, the hair would have been easier to overlook ... )
Italy were very, very good esp in the first half; I think it was a bit of both, them being good and the US being intimidated. And the US are way worse that the other two opponents, so Italy were probably relaxed for the first time, which had to have helped.
I just noticed it, OMG were those Mirko's shoes that Abate was wearing? LOL no wonder the boy scored today. ;p
Good to hear that the Azzurrini played well, I really have high hopes for them. And yeah Ivory Coast are good, they thrashed Turkey with 4 goals today. Those poor mini!Turks, I actually have developed a little crush on them in the last game. *sigh*

This painful to watch. USA was just playing borderline awful although there were I think two good chances at a goal. Too bad they didn't go in. How I wanted them to go in!!! Italy has a lot of players that already played at the NT level right and few together in the U21s or something? They've done good so good for them but I did laugh at how they could have scored more but didn't and how much our passes were weak. Chris Seitz is awesome and he's done a great job for the team. The picture with Brek Shea being dragged to the ground by his shirt is kind of funny. He's hair wow...it has replaced Sacha's emo hair on BS board. It's hilarious.
italy only had one who has full NT cap (Nocerino) and he only played half an hour, several of them do play pretty regularly in Serie A, which is a reasonably high level. And Seitz was great, I was really impressed by both US keepers.
(Motta was trying to be all innocent on that play, too. &hearts)
