It really was that bad -- I only made it through the first half, but Inter were awful. AWFUL. Javi came on in the second half for poor Maniche, and Gazzetta gave him a six -- I think the gist of their comment is "at least he wasn't a disaster!" (Figo, Vieira AND Maicon all got 4.5. That just doesn't happen.)

*sigh* He's captain when Javi isn't on (the real captain didn't come on til halftime). NO EARTHLY IDEA WHY. I gather Ivan Ramiro is third choice, but he's gone. And Deki got to wear it once, when he was the only starter playing ....

I'm terribly sorry to say this, but Matrix as captain really doesn't strike me as a very good idea. It sounds like something a whole lot closer to a bad idea.

That was said with much more grace that I'd have used, and I'm in complete agreement -- Mancio's not so smart.

(Though yesterday, the only real regulars out there were ... Maicon. With Figo and Crespo and Matrix, so maybe it made sense at that moment, but him as Regular Vice-Captain is mostly laughable.)
