Although it may never be of interest to anyone but myself, I feel like I should get a disclaimer re: how I prioritize canon somewhere. Also, notes on romanization, because god knows Fire Emblem fandom is good at wanking over that.
Canon sources first: I'm drawing off of two games and two different manga retellings of one of said games, so with all the creative liberties involved, things don't all fit together perfectly. My headcanon pulls from all of them, smashes them together as best it can, and I roll with it. It all makes sense to me, and that's probably all that anyone will ever need to know. (If I ever get canonmates, though, I will be happy to have long and nerdy discussions over how to reconcile the differences! I live for this shit.)
I'll make a particular note here that I take some manga personality cues because I really love how Fuyuki writes Leaf.
As for romanizations: haha oh god. I AM SO NOT TREASURE COMPLIANT. The Treasure romanizations aren't all horrible, but a lot of them could've been done better by a drunk monkey in front of a typewriter. My use of names in Seisen is a hilarious hodgepodge of Treasure names that look okay, names where I felt it was better to go back to the direct mythological reference, and names where I was just too damned used to whatever fandom variant to ever get used to the mythological reference. If I ever get canonmates I will adjust as needed but in the meantime: lol w/e. Most of the names in FE5 Illustrated Works were pretty reasonably rendered, though, so I do use most of those.
