re-invention

So I installed WordPress on the server for my RL website a while back, preparing to learn how to customize it for the Web Client From Absolute Unadulterated Pure And Complete Hell (we'll call him Chuck for short). Luckily (or not), Chuck's project is on hold a bit (presumably so he can practice ways to change his mind with even greater speed), and ( Read more... )

MimsyGoggles? As in "all mimsy were the borogroves", in which "mimsy" can mean whatever you like, including "whimsical with a touch of melancholy". Whimsy does indeed sound a bit Bertie Wooster, which isn't something I automatically associate with you. Although Mimsy is used as a name in some circles, and perhaps won't appeal to you.

I like 'Left Turn at Albuquerque', even though I lack the cultural context to appreciate it fully. I harbour a deep and abiding love for tumbleweeds.

Don't (or didn't) you get to see the classic Warner Bros. cartoons over where you are? Bugs Bunny tunnels everywhere (as a means of traveling), pops out of the ground when he thinks he's at his destination, but always ends up someplace he didn't mean to go, takes out his map and muses "I knew I shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque..." If you haven't seen that kinda stuff, we definitely need to get you caught up somehow...

I think he even did it in the cartoon referred to in my icon, a short called "Bully For Bugs" wherein he ends up in the middle of a bullfighting ring (instead of Pismo Beach) and gives the bull there hell for 6 minutes. A major classic.

I know the Bugs cartoons, but don't remember the Albuquerque line. Most of my Warner Bros cartoon watching was done for uni, though, because my parents were very anti-tv.

'Left Turn at Albuquerque' sounds even more appropriate, now that I have the background. And I love the icon! It always amazes me that they could make an animated rabbit sexy.

Thanks, vote counted.

BTW, I got your email about Your Newest Thing, and I'd like to go this Saturday but can't! :( Already RSVP'ed for a birthday party. But please let me know about the next Thing.

I think "Left Turn At Albuquerque" is what you should call it...you might even go with "Albuquirky"...no wait, it doesn't look as cute now that I've typed it. < Maxwell Smart>Missed it by that much.< /Maxwell Smart>

Go with "Left Turn At Albuquerque".

I like YourLastNameGoggles because it almost seems like a play on the 'beer goggles" thing.

I also like Melanchology as a more sad sounding title.

Microkaleidoscope?

At one point you described your job as "Hitting ducks with sledgehammers" or "Dropping anvils on ducks" or something like that. I think those would be fun.

Or Pool Table with a Huge Rack
If You Have a Big Pool Cue, Then I Have a Huge Rack...

Okay, now I'm just being silly...
