GIP, plus the week's winding down

Thanks in part to the help of e_ticket who answered my cry for geek video-saving help in the last post, I've now made two icons that I love but which I can't seem to size down small enough to actually use. At least for now--I just can't bear to crap out the quality any more than I already have. So you get to see them now.

I've been wanting to make an icon of that for ages, ever since they started putting it in the credits. And you know, staring at those screencaps all that time it took to make it? I realized that Adam has the sweetest look of affection on his face while he's doing it, like he knows this other person well, has been through a lot with him, and knows he can count on him to play and do things like bonk him on the head with a plastic bottle. Totally gave me a new perspective on that little clip.

It's true, but still, forgive me--I'm all soppy ruminating these days. :)

now I'm a little sad

Yeah, I wasn't sad until I talked about the scene at dinner with some friends, and told this thing I'd read on imdb.com--to wit: "When they started to film the 'Puttin' on the Ritz' scene, no one was sure what the Creature should say. The first time out of the gate, however, Boyle came up with a strangled version of 'Puiinin da reeez!'"

When I was done telling them that, I got kinda bittersweet-sad, too. :-/

PB was indeed a geeenius. A true comic, not a comedian.
